October 2023 Concert
Join us on for evening prayer, Sunday, October 8, at 3:00 PM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Des Peres, to hear the American Kantorei and orchestra perform J.S. Bach’s BWV 10: “Meine Seel erhebt den Herren”.
From Music of St. Paul’s post: “Music at St. Paul’s cordially invites you to an autumn concert of the American Kantorei chorus and orchestra this Sunday.
The program will feature J.S. Bach’s BWV 10: “Meine Seel erhebt den Herren,” translated as “My soul magnifies the Lord.” The cantata, composed in 1724, is also known as Bach’s German Magnificat.

“Please join us for a Service of Choral Vespers for Eastertide, “Lord Jesus, Blessed Prince of Peace!,” at 3 p.m. (CT) Sunday, April 23, in the Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus. Under the direction of Dr. Maurice Boyer, the American Kantorei will sing a cantata composed by J.S. Bach, “Halt im Gedaechtnis Jesum Christ” (BWV 67), during the service. The cantata is based on 2 Tim. 2:8, “Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead.” We hope you can join us! Can’t make it in person?
